This webinar will focus on the topics risk assessment models for flood and climate change as it relates to ESG with the shift from voluntary to mandatory climate reporting. Flood Risk & Climate Change fall within the E of ESG and is part of a series of Physical Risks. We will explore innovative practices and tools in modeling, predicting and planning for flooding events with examples from Germany. We will also look at some of the main drivers for ESG and climate reporting and available tools and software with our presenter from the UK. Finally we will explore enhancing ESG strategies with building in flood risk and climate resilience in New Zealand.

Peter leads the department for remediation and geotechnical project in the HPC branch in Harburg, Bavaria, Germany. He has a background in Environmental Management / Science and Landscape Architecture with ongoing qualifications in Project Management and Management. Peter has over 15 years experience in multidisciplinary and multinational environmental and civil engineering projects combining expertise in Civil Engineering, Site Remediation, Environmental Planning, Ecology, EIA, ArcGIS, Project Management, Mine Closure Planning and Implementation.

Alex Perryman

Alex leads the Water Services team at Delta-Simons, part of the Lucion Group. With over 20 years of flood risk and GIS experience in the water industry and geospatial arena, Alex is highly experienced in managing and delivering Physical Climate Risk services for investor clients as well as Flood Risk Assessments to support planning and associated flood risk sections of ES Chapters, due diligence and numerous other flood risk, data management, transactional and ESG climate change related projects in the UK and internationally.

Uwe leads the department for geographic information modelling in the HPC branch in Kassel, Germany. He has a background in geodesy, geographic information systems and database development as well as in 3D-data modelling.

Uwe has over 25 years work experience in multidisciplinary and multinational projects in the fields of GIS and database development, geographic data modelling, field data acquisition, and engineering surveying.

Jon is a Principal Flood Risk and Adaptation Consultant with 20 years of experience relating to urban drainage, flooding, integrated catchment planning, risk assessment and asset management. He is T+T’s Sector Lead for Climate & Hazard Resilience and was previously Auckland’s Water Engineering Manager. Jon has been providing advice for Auckland Council and central government’s Cyclone Recovery Taskforce as part of the North Island Weather Event Response. He is passionate about developing customer-centric outcomes for clients that help create thriving and resilient communities.
